Annual Alumni Presentations
Each spring, the Gamma Mu Chapter of Delta Omega at the WVU School of Public Health hosts the Delta Omega Public Health Grand Rounds.
During the fall term, Delta Omega invites alumni to submit applications to present their research during the event the following spring. Application abstracts should illustrate how an alumnus has made a significant public health impact on a specific population through his or her work. The selected presenter will discuss his or her research and receive a $2,000 honorarium. He or she will also be invited for membership into the Gamma Mu Chapter of Delta Omega in May.
For the 2017-2018 academic year, the deadline for abstract submissions is 11:59 p.m. Friday, December 15, 2017.
Abstract submission requirements:
- Learning objective
- Abstract (500-word maximum)
- Pre-test and post-test questions (3-4 each)
- Curriculum vitae
- Biographical sketch (500-word maximum)
The selected presenter will be required to submit his or her PowerPoint slides and sign a copyright clearance form two weeks prior to the presentation date. Please submit all abstract requirements and any questions or concerns to Elizabeth Claydon.
