What does public health mean to you?

Public health is being an advocate for health outside of the clinical setting through prevention, education and outreach.

Why did you choose to study Public Health at WVU?

I chose to study Public Health at WVU because of the support system within the School of Public Health and how many opportunities there are for people in this program.

What would you tell future students about WVU and the School of Public Health?

WVU has an amazing sense of community and it's amazing how quickly WVU and Morgantown will become a home to you. This is an amazing program with amazing faculty who will do anything they can to help you succeed, you just have to be willing to reach out.

What advice would you give to your freshman self?

Don't be afraid to talk to your professors! They are there to help you and are excited to hear from you. If you find something they are doing/researching interesting, tell them. You can learn more about it and may even be able to get involved in something you are also passionate about.
