ACHE president emeritus, expert healthcare leader kicks off SPH commencement activities

Thomas Dolan, PhD, President-Emeritus of the American College of Healthcare Executives and this year's School of Public Health Commencement speaker, helped kick off commencement activities last week with a special dinner, followed by a talk tailored for students embarking on their career paths. 

On Thursday, May 12, Dr. Dolan and his wife Georgia met with Board of Governors Chairman Tom Jones, his wife Judy, President Gordon Gee, and several others over dinner. 

The next day, Dolan met with students and faculty in the Health Sciences Center (G119) to discuss the value of utilizing a life-long career coach and membership in the American College of Healthcare Executives, as well as other topics of administrative interest to the group. The discussion ended with a Q&A session.
