Professor Gibbs to be featured speaker at national virtual workshop on understanding women’s cardiovascular risk
WVU School of Public Health Professor Bethany Barone Gibbs is set to be a featured speaker at The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute’s virtual workshop, Blood Pressure Across Women's Lifespan, which takes place Wednesday, Dec. 10 and Thursday, Dec. 11.
The workshop, hosted in collaboration with the NIH Office of Research on Women’s Health, is aimed to address knowledge gaps in understanding the unique factors that increase women’s risk of cardiovascular disease—the leading cause of death among women.
Gibbs’s presentation titled, "Lifestyle Approaches to Prevent and Control High Blood Pressure in Women,” will be given on Thursday, Dec. 11.
Registration for the virtual workshop is free. To register, visit the Blood Pressure Across Women’s Lifespan website.
