Academic and Student Affairs welcomes Gretchen Peterec

Portrait of Gretchen Peterec against a blue backgroundThe School of Public Health recently welcomed Gretchen Peterec as its newest team member. Peterec joined the Office of Academic and Student Affairs (OASA) on March 29. In her role as a program assistant, she will provide primary administrative program support to Senior Associate Dean Linda Alexander. Additionally, she will help support and advance OASA’s programmatic goals, including its Strategic Priorities.

“Gretchen brings a wealth of experience with international and global program and study abroad support, as well as staff support for continuing education, summer institutes and development and management of marketing materials,” Alexander said. “I’m thrilled to welcome her to our team.”

Prior to joining the School of Public Health, Peterec served as program coordinator for Faculty and Course Development in International Studies (FACDIS), a position she had held since 2004. Other previous experiences include working as a teacher in Santiago, Chile, and a bilingual instructional/ESL assistant at Gables Elementary School in Columbus, Ohio.

Peterec received a Master of Arts in educational theory and policy from The Pennsylvania State University and a Bachelor of Arts in sociology from St. Lawrence University.
