Health disparities are shaped by behavioral and sociocultural factors. The study of Social and Behavioral Sciences in public health focuses on psychosocial, behavioral, community and societal influences on health and the development of interventions that eliminate barriers to health and healthcare access.

SPH Assistant Dean selected for "Guest Coach" honor

Janet Hunt, assistant dean of Undergraduate Studies in the WVU School of Public Health, was selected by the Office of Student-Athlete Development to be a "Guest Coach" at a WVU men's basketball game on January 20, 2018. This recognition is offered to WVU faculty and staff who are dedicated to working with students. Congratulations!
