Yellow Ribbon Program for Veterans

Since 2009, the Yellow Ribbon Program has supported hundreds of Mountaineers who have served their country. WVU remains committed to the Yellow Ribbon Program because we value what veterans bring to campus. It opens the door to our world-class education and secures the dream of obtaining a degree. Those receiving the maximum benefit from the Post 9/11 GI Bill may receive additional funding to cover the difference between in-state and out-of-state tuition and fees. For all eligible WVU undergraduate students, West Virginia University has agreed to waive up to 50% of this difference with a direct match from the Veterans Administration under the Yellow Ribbon Program.
