School of Public Health offering new graduate course for Fall 2023
The School of Public Health will offer a new graduate level elective course for the Fall 2023 semester – PUBH 693A: Drugs in Public Health. The course is open to all Health Sciences graduate students and will be held in person.
The one-credit course will cover the historical background and contexts of drug use throughout human history and discuss the pharmacology and classification systems of common drugs in the United States. Drug use epidemiology, policy, addiction and recovery will also be briefly covered.
The course will meet on Mondays from 4-4:50 p.m. and will be co-taught by Graduate Research Assistant Rosalina Mills and Associate Professor Robin Pollini, Ph.D.
