10th Annual Gamma Mu Student Poster Competition
The Gamma Mu Chapter of Delta Omega at West Virginia University’s School of Public Health invites all undergrad and masters/PhD students to participate in the 10th Annual Gamma Mu Student Poster Competition.
To participate, you will present your poster to our Gamma Mu poster judges, comprised of School of Public Health faculty members and members of the Gamma Mu Executive Committee.
Award Details
The overall winner from each (1. undergraduate 2. masters/PhD) category will be chosen to represent our Chapter and School at the National Delta Omega Poster Contest at the 2022 Annual American Public Health Association (APHA) meeting and will receive a $500 travel award each. The overall winner of each category will be required to submit an abstract to the Delta Omega Student Poster Contest by March 25 and be required to attend the 2022 APHA annual meeting in Boston held on November 6-9, 2022.
To enter the Delta Omega post competition, please email DOGrammaMu@hsc.wvvu.edu with the following:
- Name
- Student status (e.g. undergrad, master, PhD)
- Poster title
- Abstract
Deadline for submission (updated!): Thursday, April 21
Eligibility
1. Currently enrolled as an undergraduate, masters, or PhD student in a Public Health program.
2. You do not need to be a Delta Omega Member to submit.
Submission Requirements/Process
1. Poster format
2. Abstract (Word limit: 250)
3. Include the following sections:
a. Background/Introduction of the topic
b. Methods
c. Results
d. Implications, future directionn of research
4. Email poster presentation to the Gamma Mu Delta Omega email, DOGammaMu@hsc.wvu.edu.
a. Include the following in the subject line: "GMDO Poster Submission 2022 - Undergraduate/Graduate"
