APHA-Student Assembly campus liaison needed from WVU

The American Public Health Association (APHA) Student Assembly is seeking a campus liaison from the WVU School of Public Health.

A campus liaison serves as the School’s representative to the Student Assembly. By getting involved, the campus liaison will develop leadership skills and foster relationships with not only colleagues at our institution, but at others in the region and across the nation. A liaison plays a key role in the Student Assembly by expanding awareness of the work that the American Public Health Association does throughout the nation, the investment they make in developing future leaders and the opportunities for professional and personal development.

The responsibilities can depend largely on the ambition of the individual campus liaison, but some baseline expectations are outlined in the job description. Mainly, the role is to encourage membership. Through hosting events and displaying the value of the organization, APHA is hoping to get more students involved in the APHA Student Assembly and in the different sub-committees.

Inquiries for application material should be sent to campusliaison@aphastudents.org and CC annie.du@case.edu.
