ASPH Welcomes WVU as New Associate Member

Last week, ASPH welcomed the West Virginia University School of Public Health as a new associate member school. WVU is now in the process of earning CEPH-accreditation through a two-year, self-study process.

The new School of Public Health was formed on the foundation of the former West Virginia University School of Medicine’s department of community medicine, which has offered the MPH degree since 1997. West Virginia will continue to offer the MPH on campus in five disciplines as well as a new distance-learning MPH in public health practice and a distance-learning MS degree in school health education. The PhD in public health sciences will focus on epidemiology, occupational and environmental health sciences, and social and behavioral sciences.
