Attend a screening of the documentary ‘Black Men In White Coats’

Event rescheduled for Thursday, March 3

The WVU Pre-Health Office, Minorities Aspiring in Health Professions Student Organization and the Honors Live Learn Community will host a screening of the documentary film "Black Men in White Coats" on Thursday, March 3, from 7-9 p.m. in Fukushima Auditorium. (Note: This event has been rescheduled from Feb. 23.)

Fewer Black men applied to medical school in 2014 than in 1978 and Black men have the lowest life expectancy in the U.S. With only two percent of American doctors being Black men, this comes as no surprise. This documentary dissects the systemic barriers preventing Black men from becoming medical doctors and the consequences on society at large.

Discussions will be led by student representatives from the MAHPs organizations. Join us to learn more and be a part of this important discussion.

Everyone is welcome to attend.

RSVP is encouraged but not required.
