Become a Day of Giving Ambassador for the School of Public Health

Interested in inspiring others to support the future of public health? Want to make a positive difference in the life of the School of Public Health, the larger University community and, ultimately, in West Virginia?

Then sign up to be an ambassador for WVU's 5th Day of Giving. After you've signed up, let the SPH Marketing and Communications Office know that you're on board by sending a quick email.

  • What is WVU Day of Giving?
    • A 24-hour online fundraising event that has raised over $30 million in its first four years combined. The funds have benefited many top priorities, including life-changing scholarships, groundbreaking research and lasting improvements to campus. Learn more here.
  • How will my involvement impact the School of Public Health, specifically?
    • The School of Public Health has its own specific Day of Giving page, which you can find here, where the school's funding priorities are outlined. Every time you share about Day of Giving leading up to and on the day of (March 9), whether via email or social media, you can (and should!) provide the link to the school's page and, if on social media, tag the School of Public Health. By helping spread the word about the available giving opportunities, you are helping inspire others to support Public Health.
  • What other benefits are there?
    • School of Public Health swag: The top five registered amabassadors who inspire the most gitts to the SPH through their unique URL will receive an SPH swag bag. The winners will be contacted once WVU Day of Giving has concluded and the results have been finalized.
    • WVU swag: The top five registered ambassadors who inspire the most gifts through their unique URL will get a WVU swag box. The winners will be contacted once WVU Day of Giving is completed.
    • You'll have fun! The WVU Foundation, University and School of Public Health has put together various challenges, which you'll hear more about leading up to and throughout Day of Giving (March 9).
    • As a current/future public health professional, strong communication skills are key. By participating in this effort, you'll strengthen those skills and become more adept with social media, using resources provide by the WVU Foundation.
