BLUEGRASS AND OLD-TIME BANDS PERFORMANCE TODAY!

Mountain music will fill the halls of the Mountainlair TODAY, October 30 at 8:00 PM as Travis Stimeling, Ph. D. will present "Bluegrass and Old-Time Bands: A Celebration of Appalachian Women. The musical program will include music written by Appalachian songwriters Maria Allison, Colleen Anderson, Rachel Burge, Shirley Stewart-Burns, The Carter Family, Hazel Dickens, Loretta Lynn, Elaine Purkey, and Dolly Parton.  The presentaion is free and open to the public.  The event is sponsored by the School of Music and Office of Studen tLife/Multicultural Porgram's Cecilia Rollins Brown-Bag Lunch Film & Discussion Series.
