CHARLESTON DIRECTOR'S NOTE - October 14, 2016
As the Director of OLLI, I strongly believe that I should support all classes and treat them equitably. I have to admit though, there is one on the Charleston calendar that I would love to attend if I could, Understanding Cats and Dogs: How to Communicate Better with Your Pets. And I say this only because I have a new kitten at home.
She is a bundle of joy with so much energy! I love cats, but it’s been many years since I’ve had a kitten. Overall, training has been going well. At least as far as one can train a cat. Sunny has learned to stay off the counters and not to bolt for the front door when it’s open. And she reluctantly accepts that she can’t have my food when I say no…except when I have cereal. She is obsessed with sharing my bowl of cereal. She practically climbs into the bowl, returning every time I nudge her away. It’s a constant battle! So, I’m curious about how I can get her to let me eat breakfast in peace. I’m getting a little tired of eating my cereal standing up.
