Community outreach opportunity addressing vaping
Graduate students in the School of Public Health are invited to participate in a community outreach project to address the health risk of vaping (e-cigarettes) among teenagers.
Organized by CATALYST (Community Action Team Accelerating Learning for Youth in Science and Technology, WVU students will travel to Morgantown High School on Thursday, March 26 and Friday, March 27 for two sessions each day (7-11 a.m. and 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.) to educate approximately 500 students through interactive stations.
WVU student volunteers will work together in groups of 2-5 people and must attend at least one training session in order to volunteer. Training sessions will be held Tuesday, March 10 and Tuesday, March 17.
Sign up to volunteer by Wednesday, March 4. You will see two tabs at the bottom of the Excel spreadsheet when you sign up - one for the training sessions and one for the MHS visits - be sure to fill out both.
