Covenant House to host LGBT Cultural Competency Workshop

Covenant House WV will host a LGBT Cultural Competency Workshop at Covenant House from 11-12 on April 27th. The workshop will be run by Dr. Scout, the director of the LGBT HealthLink and an adjunct assistant clinical professor at Boston University School of Public Health. His workshop and training will concentrate on how we can create a safe and inclusive environment in order to provide support and services for LGBT individuals and their families. As well as how LGBT cultural competency can help us decrease disparities faced by the LGB T population including high smoking rates.
