Director's Note, May 4, 2018

As I prepared to write a quick note this week, I looked back on last week's and found that most of it bares repeating. There are a couple of new items first though.

OLLI will hold classes on Tuesday, May 8, although the University is closed for Election Day. I'm not used to working in a state where so many offices and such close for elections so it completely slipped my mind when we scheduled the spring term. However, the instructors of Tuesday's classes are all on board so we'll be here. I hope you are as well. And don't forget to vote!

Morgantown members: Watch your mailbox around the middle of May for your opportunitiy to renew your OLLI membership for the 2018-19 year. Registration for summer classes will begin June 18 but you can renew your membership beginning May 21.

I encourage you to share your thoughts and experiences with us as I begin putting together a Year-in-Review presentation of the highlights of the past year is being created to share at OLLI’s Annual Meeting in June. If you have pictures or memories of your OLLI experience this past year that you would like to share with your fellow members, please forward them to me by June 1.

And don't forget to mark your calendars for Tuesday, June 19th, for OLLI’s Annual Luncheon and Business Meeting, to be held from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Clubhouse Grill at the Pines Country Club in Morgantown. Most members will receive their invitation via email by May 25.

See you soon!
