DIRECTOR'S NOTE: December 30, 2016

Happy New Year! As the days grow longer and a new year is upon us, I feel the excitement of what lies ahead. After nearly two weeks of a sporadic work schedule, I am excited to be back in the office full time beginning Tuesday!

Although winter classes do not begin for another three weeks, there’s a lot going on at OLLI, beginning with registration on Tuesday, January 3.  Be sure to read through the bulletin with a calendar handy.

I would like to highlight one event that I urge you to attend if possible. OLLI will host a Town Hall Meeting on Wednesday, January 11, at 1:00 p.m. to present a proposal for a membership fee change that members will be voting on later this spring. We will answer questions and discuss the current state of the OLLI budget, plans for fundraising initiatives, and other topics of interest to our membership.

As I wrote in my last director’s note, we will begin producing an OLLI newsletter in January. The first issue will be available online on Tuesday, January 17. Although Jim will continue to write the President’s Corner for the weekly Friday Bulletin, I will reserve my column for the newsletter.
