DIRECTOR'S NOTE - November 4, 2016

Time flies when you’re having fun. Perhaps “fun” isn’t really the right word, but I must at least be happy these days since I’m finding it hard to believe I’ve already been here in Morgantown with OLLI for six months.  Everyone has been so welcoming. Learning the history of OLLI has been inspiring.

As I said at the Annual Meeting in June, this is a year of reflection and inspection as we look to the future. During this process, it is important to maintain clear lines of communication and transparency. I have made observations and have ideas and information that I want to share with you. And I, along with the Board, want you to share your thoughts, ideas, desires, and concerns about OLLI with me and the board.

Therefore, we will be holding a series of Town Hall Meetings for OLLI members over the next few months, during which we will discuss the current state of the OLLI budget, plans for fundraising initiatives, facility concerns, technology needs and plans, volunteer opportunities, and possible changes in membership fees.

Please join us for the first of these Town Hall Meetings on Thursday, November 17, from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. in classroom B at the Mountaineer Mall in Morgantown.  As a membership organization, your input is important. We want to hear from you.
