In July, West Virginia University put a new tobacco ban into effect, causing some smokers to make adjustments. As a result, electronic cigarettes have been more popular on campus.

Although many students claim the electronic cigarettes are helpful to those who are already smokers, there is some speculation.

Electronic cigarettes, also known as e-cigarettes, allow the smoker to inhale nicotine. Nicotine is the addictive substance that lures smokers, so e-cigarettes can still be addictive for smokers.
