Emergency Fund available for graduate, professional students
The Robert E. Stitzel Emergency Fund for graduate and professional students assists those who experience an unexpected and documented financial hardship that negatively impacts their academic life and progress. This program, managed by the Office Graduate Education and Life, is designed to assist those who connect reasonably resolve their financial hardship through other financial or community resources.
How to make a request:
- Students can complete the online application and retrieve more information about the fund by visiting the Office of Graduate Education and Life website.
- Students must provide sufficient information/documentation to support their financial hardship, that they have exhausted other campus/department/community resources, and that they met with a campus professional (faculty, academic adviser, associate dean).
Award:
- Financial awards are allocated to the student through Student Accounts and it does not have to be repaid to the University.
- These awards will not exceed $1,000.
