Evening of Science to wrap up with focus on synergy
The Evening of Science series will wrap up for the semester with a unique trio of brief presentations focused on the three teams that were competitively awarded a synergy grant. The in-person event will take place Wednesday, May 10, from 3-5 p.m. in HSC-North 2940B. The event is open to the entire WVU community and will include the following topics:
- Systems toxicity of inhalation exposures to single and complex aerosol mixtures
- Unraveling the consequences of maternal obesity on mitochondrial, metabolic and redox reprogramming in adult progeny, using a multi-organ approach
- Osseointegrated ultra-prosthetics with closed-loop recoding-stimulation implantable devices for powered prosthetic limbs
The intent is specifically to identify additional collaborative opportunities around these established areas of investigation and to help the teams think about opportunities beyond their initial scope of work.
If you plan to attend, please RSVP.
Evening of Science is an informal gathering to discuss science in a way that crosses traditional program boundaries by focusing on teams versus individual efforts.
