Boyhood: From 2002 to 2013, director Richard Linklater created a film that chronicled the childhood and adolescence of Mason Evans Jr. as he grows up between his divorced parents in Texas, played by Ethan Hawke and Patricia Arquette. Linklater’s own daughter, Lorelei plays Mason’s sister Samantha in the film. The film company reassembled once a year to film the next chapter in this astonishing dedication to examining the progress through life of ordinary people coping and making-do with the realities they encounter. A breath-taking achievement in the history of cinema. This film did play in Morgantown for a couple of weeks but apparently did slim box office. 165 minutes…Please note that this film is about 2-1/2 hours long. We’ll have a break.
