Grammy-winning recording artist Kathy Mattea to be Distinguished Artist in Residence at WVU

If you know any WVU musicians, you most likely know Kathy Mattea. 

Grammy-winning recording artist Kathy Mattea has been named a Distinguished Artist in Residence in the School of Music for the 2019-20 academic year. In this role, the Cross Lanes native will visit WVU’s Morgantown campus to offer one-on-one mentoring to students, present lectures in several classes, and lead masterclasses with the WVU Bluegrass and Old-Time Bands.

If you're in the area, A public masterclass with voice students to be held in the University’s Museum Education Center on Oct. 31 from 4-6 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
