The West Virginia University School of Public Health, WVU Institute for Community and Rural Health, West Virginia Hope and Action Alliance and Copeland Health Systems hosted Dr. Carlo DiClemente, co-creator of the Transtheoretical Model of behavior change, for a Grand Rounds, titled "Understanding the Journey: Stages, Mechanisms, and Moderators of Health Behavior Change," on Monday, August 7. Dr. DiClemente shared insights into how people change using the stages of change to understand initiation, modification, and cessation of health risk and protective behaviors.
