NEBOWEB TEAMS UP WITH CDC, AMERICAN LUNG ASSOCIATION, AND WEST VIRGINIA UNIVERSITY TO WIN PRESTIGIOUS WEB AWARD
The Web Marketing Association has presented its 2009 Non-Profit Standard of Excellence Award to NeboWeb, an award winning web design company, in recognition of NeboWeb's outstanding achievement in website development for the Not On Tobacco (N-O-T) website. The N-O-T site was created through a collaboration of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Prevention Research Centers Program at West Virginia University and the American Lung Association, and is a voluntary program that helps teens to stop smoking, live healthier lives, and improve life management skills.
"Our team loves to work on great projects, especially when we have an opportunity to make an impact," says Brian Easter, CEO of NeboWeb. "Nearly every family has been impacted by smoking-related illness in some capacity, including my own, and I'm proud that NeboWeb was able to be a part of this project."
The new site is engaging, extremely easy to use, and incorporates intuitive navigation. It also serves as a tool to help recruit facilitators, sign up users for training, and promote the N-O-T program to communities. The website includes an AJAX-based content management system and a full featured facilitator's extranet.
