New Tech Toy… er… Tool! Document Camera

OLLI in Morgantown now has a new tech tool! A document camera!

What, I hear you ask, is a document camera? I’d be delighted to tell you!

It’s a digital camera on a stick!

Now don’t give me that look, this is a great tool for teaching, because it allows you to take pictures of, record, and SHOW LIVE your manipulation of anything. Pages in an old book? Steps using a cell phone? Cross stitch pattern? All of those can be shown on a document camera!

The camera will be available upon request, but we only have one, so if you want to use it, check ahead of time to make sure it’s available!

I’ll be going over how to use the document camera when I do the Classroom AV training, but if you aren’t able to make that class, you can set up an appointment with me to go over its use.

I’m very excited about this new acquisition!
