Do you have a drawer full of old family diaries and photos? Is there some "family history" in your head that's never been written down? Need to safeguard your life story for future generations? Not sure where or how to start? You're not alone. Find out more in the course Personal and Family History Writing Projects taught by Rae Jean Sielen, owner of Populore Publishing.
Everyone has a story, and many have a desire to save that story—for all sorts of reasons. This may seem like an intimidating task, but it doesn't have to be. Come learn tips and tricks about how to approach life writing, why it's important, how to organize a project, what to avoid, and how to include details that bring the story to life. Rae Jean has helped individuals, families, communities, and organizations with history books and projects for over twenty years. This class highlights the diversity of stories that can be told and ways in which they can be communicated. Sign up and be prepared to leave with an idea of how to start as well as a determination to get started.
Here's what some past students have to say:
"Rae Jean is good at balancing down-to-earth realities with the inspirational side of preserving stories."
"The lesson plans 'built' very well to give the whole picture."
"I have a better grasp of how to proceed."
