PRESIDENT'S CORNER - January 21, 2016

Forgive me but this will be a very brief column this week. As some of you know by now, my Bonnie had a uterine cancer diagnosis. She had surgery on Wednesday (Jan 20) and they found one small tumor in the uterus, so removed all her female plumbing. Her prognosis is, therefore, excellent! We are very relieved. She’ll be in the hospital 2-3 days then home for recuperation.

Sadly, not everyone gets such a good outcome. Some of our own OLLI family are still struggling with this ghastly disease, and we all extend our love and support to each and every one. One hears that people in cancer research say they are extremely close to a cure, so why aren’t we having a Manhattan Project for this?

That’s all I can do this week.  Back next week under more normal circumstance.
