Register for classes via STAR

Undergraduate Public Health and Health Services Management and Leadership Students:

There have been several reports of Schedule Builder not working for course registration -- the system seems to be crashing more than usual. To avoid stress on registration day, it is recommend that everyone use STAR to sign up for classes instead of Schedule Builder.

Important tips:

• Add classes individually. DO NOT put all your classes in your shopping cart and try to add them all at once. This will cause a system error.
• If you are signing up for a course with more than one section (i.e. GEF courses and/or minor courses), please double check sections. If a class has a "P" or "T" in the section column, that's for Potomac State and WVU Tech courses - you cannot take those. If a class has "H" in the section column, it's an Honors section.
• Check the time of the classes before you add them. For instance, you might have a section of PSYC 101 MWF at 1 p.m. on Schedule Builder, but you could accidentally add the section of PSYC 101 MWF at 8:30 a.m. in STAR. 

If you haven't met with Developmental Advising Specialist Sarah Opatz, MA, for advising yet, you won't be able to register for classes. Please email Sarah ASAP to schedule an appointment.

If you have any questions or run into registration errors, please email Sarah. Scheduling week is going to be very busy with 100+ students signing up for classes, so she will respond to your emails first come, first serve. Please be patient. She will respond to you.
