ROSIE THE RIVETERS ON CAMPUS

Four Rosie the Riveters - women who did "men's work" on the home front during World War II - will tell their stories at WVU in Morgantown, WV on Tuesday, November 3, 2015, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Mountainlair Building, in the Rhododendron Room on the second floor.  This event is organized by Thanks, Plain and Simple, Inc. ("Thanks!"), a non-profit organization,  with significant help from West Virginia University students, Jerry McCarthy, Director of WVU Veterans Affairs; and others at WVU.  This organization is preparing to launch a National Rosie the Riveter Movement and will be announcing that WVU is a candidate for the award of "Model Rosie the Riveter University." Discussion will look at the meaning of this endeavor for America.  For more information about this initiative, click on www.thanksplainandsimple.org.
