SPH Graduate Awards & Delta Omega Induction Ceremony, Thursday, April 29, 12-1 p.m.

Event will be held via Zoom

The School of Public Health will hold its Spring Awards and Delta Omega Induction Ceremony via Zoom on Thursday, April 29, from noon to 1 p.m. The annual event recognizes and celebrates all graduating students from the 2020-2021 academic year and is co-hosted by the Student Association of Public Health (SAPH) and Gamma Mu Chapter of the Delta Omega Honorary Society, in coordination with the Office of Student Affairs. It will feature the presentation of student awards and the annual Delta Omega Induction Ceremony.

Register here for the event in order to receive the Zoom link. Faculty, staff and students should have received a calendar invitation from the "SPH Calendar" account for the event.

Also, come prepared to celebrate the awardees/inductees in true Zoom-style! Some ideas:

  • Create a ‘congratulations!’ sign, or simply print something you find online, ahead of the meeting and be ready to hold it up when the awardees/inductees’ names are announced.
  • Be ready to use one of the built-in reactions at the bottom of your Zoom screen.
  • Make use of Mountaineer game gear or other spirit gear you have handy by bringing it to the meeting; e.g., Have some shaker pom poms that you typically take to a game? Have them on stand-by to use in lieu of clapping.

If you have any questions about the event, please contact Scot McIntosh, director of career development and student success.
