School of Social Work hosts Behavioral Health Summit

'C'ing is Believing:' Collaboration in Rural Integrated Behavioral Health

Bill Ramsey, MDThe WVU School of Social Work’s Rural Integrated Behavioral Health Training Program, joined by the California University of Pennsylvania and the University of Pittsburgh Behavioral Health Training Programs, will host a Behavioral Health Summit on March 27, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Mountainlair Ballrooms.

William Ramsey, MD, associate vice president and chief collaboration officer at the WVU Health Sciences Center, will provide several unique insights into the current model of healthcare systems and will focus on collaboration strategies to improve incorporation of integrated behavioral health into rural community healthcare and wellness initiatives. He will be joined by a multidisciplinary panel of health professionals and address questions from the audience. 

The event is funded by the HRSA BHWET grant. It is approved for two hours of social work CEUs in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia. For more information or to RSVP, contact Sara Guthrie at sg0067@mix.wvu.edu

About the Speaker 
William Ramsey has over 30 years of experience in healthcare as a provider, teacher, researcher and policy leader. Working in academics, government and the private sector, Ramsey has coordinated and facilitated the development, implementation and evaluation of numerous collaborative initiatives across the health, medical care and wellness landscapes.
