Social activities across campus provide opportunity for connection
When not participating in classes, internships or part-time work, WVU offers many ways for students to make connections with others through organizations and social groups.
There are over 450 student organizations on the Morgantown campus, and several on the Keyser and Beckley campuses, focused on a variety of topics and interests from cultural and religious groups to organizations related to academic programs and special interests or hobbies.
The Student Recreation Center offers a variety of fitness group classes and sessions on the Evansdale and Downtown campuses that students can participate in every day. There are also numerous club and intramural sports students can participate in.
Mountaineer Meet Ups are supportive, peer-led communities centered around various interests, identities or needs. Groups are available to students and come together weekly in a variety of formats to initiate connections that can lead to friendships and a sense of community while at WVU.
The Collegiate Recovery Program hosts regular events open to all students centered around health, wellness, adventure, community, service and fun with a focus on providing resources and a space for students in recovery.
Student Life is home to a variety of additional resources for getting involved on campus.
