Special Elective Course Offered Spring 2020
The WVU School of Public Health is pleased to team up with the WVU College of Law to offer an exciting special elective in Global Health Law (PUBH 693D).
Taught by internationally-renowned visiting scholar Larry Gostin of Georgetown University, Global Health Law provides a two-week dive into the influence and impacts of health law at a global scale. This elective will include discussion of the legal determinants of health, global health policies, and the role of law and policy in addressing pressing global health issues such as pandemics, climate change, and health security. Additional topics will include global health equity and universal health coverage.
For students interested in global health issues and/or health policy, this course makes an excellent one-credit elective. Seating is limited, so register early!
