SPH 'Figure It Out Friday' series kicks off Friday, Oct. 29

The School of Public Health’s Office of Academic and Student Affairs is pleased to announce its new “Figure It Out Friday” sessions. Figure It Out Friday will be a recurring series of conversations for public health students.

A variety of speakers ranging from WVU SPH alumni, faculty and staff to public health practitioners will be invited to engage with current students from all degree programs about relevant topics including: trending public health issues/news, areas of public health practice and career advice. These sessions will provide an opportunity to network with your peers and people you need to know! More information about the first session can be found below.

  • Who: West Virginia Bureau for Public Health Office of Environmental Health Services
  • What: From environmental engineering to radiation, toxics and indoor air to public health sanitation and a host of administrative services, join this session to hear about how this team from the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources employs a number of strategies across the state to keep our residents healthy and safe.

Figure It Out Fridays will occur throughout the remainder of the academic year so be sure to save the date for the November session:

  • Who: Facilitated by SPH Director of Strategic Initiatives and Assistant Professor in Health Policy, Management, and Leadership, Dr. Constinia Charbonnette
