Storming Heaven: The Musical

The West Virginia Public Theatre will present Storming Heaven: The Musical at the Gladys G Davis Theatre on campus June 6 - 16.

Storming Heaven: The Musical centers on Carrie Bishop, the mine doctor's nurse and sister of the mine superintendent, who finds herself unwittingly in the middle of a love triangle with Albion Freeman, her husband and preacher to the miners, and Rondal Lloyd, a charismatic Union organizer. Carrie's journey of self-discovery – a 20th century woman struggling to find her own identity and power – parallels the miners' struggle for basic human rights.

If at least 10 OLLI members and guests are interested in attending the performance on  Sunday, June 16, at 2:00 p.m., OLLI can purchase tickets at the group price of $11.00 per ticket. Deadline for reservations and payment to the OLLI office is Wednesday, June 5, at 5:00 p.m. Payment by cash or check.
