Student forum: Let's Talk About Opioids
Tuesday, May 3, at 7 p.m. in the Mountainlair
Un-PAC WVU will host a forum on Tuesday, May 3, at 7 p.m., covering the following topics: history of opioids; opioid use in Appalachia; Purdue and Big Pharma’s role in the opioid crisis; what is Harm Reduction; and SB 334 and its effects. Included among the presenters is Dr. Robin Pollini, associate professor in the School of Public Health and School of Medicine; Katie Merrill, peer recovery advocate from WVU Collegiate Recovery; and Matt Kearner, co-founder of the Opportunity House.
The forum will be held in the Greenbrier Room in the Mountainlair and all students are invited to attend. RSVP via this online form.
