"Opera as Drama" Discusses Met Opera Productions

The Met in HD season begins Saturday, October 7, with a performance of Bellini's Norma, at the Regal Theatre at 12:55 p.m. This will be a live performance from the stage of the Metropolitan Opera with Sondra Radvanovsky and Joyce DiDonato. Norma will be sung in Italian.

The Met will follow up with a performance of Mozart's Die Zauberflote (The Magic Flute) on Saturday, October 14, at 1:00 p.m. The Magic Flute will be sung in German.

Byron Nelson will discuss the operas in his OLLI class, Opera as Drama, this term. The class will meet on Wednesdays, October 11 and November 8, at 10:00 a.m.
