Upcoming MAR-PHTC training opportunity

Bring your questions and join in an interactive discussion about public health employment paths after graduation. The Mid-Atlantic Regional Public Health Training Center is offering an online training opportunity to about employment opportunities at community health centers on Wednesday, February 12, 2020, from 1-2 p.m. The training will delve into the non-traditional avenue of work at a community health center. Panelists will include staff from three regional community health center associations who will describe their agency’s mission and target population as well as their staff’s journey to their current positions. Be prepared to share your thoughts with panelists and participants as the group explores these unique employment opportunities.

Target Audience:
This presentation is appropriate for students, site supervisors, faculty, and HRSA Public Health Training Center personnel.

This interactive webinar series is presented through the Go to Meeting Internet-based platform. A computer with high-speed internet connection and the ability to download and run this platform is required. Connection information will be provided following registration. Basic functionality, including the use of a feature to type in questions, will be reviewed during the webinar.

We suggest using a headset or webcam with microphone to best engage with the presenter throughout the webinars. Be sure to connect your speaking device to your computer before you enter the virtual webinar room. Trying to connect your speaking device after you enter the room may cause Go to Meeting to not recognize the device and render it unusable.

How to Register:

  1. Log on to marphtc.pitt.edu and sign in with your username and password. If you do not have an account, create one.
  2. After your account is created, will receive an email asking to confirm your account. Click "confirm" in that email message.
  3. After confirming your account, navigate to the Training/Upcoming page and selectEmployment Opportunities at Community Health Centers and click the "Enroll" button under Course Registration at the bottom of the page.
  4. After you are successfully enrolled, you will receive an email confirmation that contains important information about this course.
