During his time in Brazil, he worked with the Pittsburgh-based NGO, Amizade, managing community health projects, leading service-learning programs and facilitating global health rotations within the Amazon Basin. In 2015, he began working at WVU in the School of Natural Resources as a project manager for field research in the Pacific Northwest and tourism development initiatives in Brazil. He is very much looking forward to returning to the field of public health.

She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology (2013) and a Master of Public Health degree with an emphasis in epidemiology (2015) from WVU. Her current plan of study as a PhD student in the WVU Clinical and Translational Science Doctoral Program capitalizes on her past work in the public health arena emphasizing prevention and wellness. Compelled by her state’s poor health outcomes, her interest in Exercise Medicine is to help design interventions to prevent worsening chronic disease and poor cardiovascular disease outcomes.
