WV AWARE workshop to be held Nov. 1
WV AWARE (Asking Women About Relationship Experiences) will host a collaborative workshop on Friday, November 1, at Stonewall Resort in Roanoke, W.Va. Check in begins at 11 a.m. and the workshop will take place from 11:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. Lunch and compensation for time/travel will be provided.
WV AWARE focuses on improving intimate partner violence (IPV) screening, assessment, and response in healthcare settings. The workshop is titled "Creating a model of enhanced healthcare system response to intimate partner violence."
In this collaborative workshop, participants will work together to develop a model of enhanced healthcare system response to IPV. Participants will provide their input on the resources and activities needed to create meaningful change. The workshop will include collaborative work with IPV survivors to generate new strategies for addressing IPV.
