WVU Campus Read - Getting the Community Involved

West Virginia University has chosen Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and Redemption by Bryan Stevenson as the Campus Read for 2016-17. WVU's Campus Read program (formerly the "Common Read") is creating a community of learners by engaging students, faculty, staff and the Morgantown area in an academically-driven common reading experience.

This year the University is expanding the reading experience beyond first-year students and asking the campus and community to read the book and attend one of the many events that will be held this fall. Because the book addresses themes such as justice, race, gender, criminology, and finding your purpose in life, this book will be of interest not only to students, faculty, and staff, but to members of the Greater Morgantown Community and the state of West Virginia as well.
