WVU Career Services to host three virtual career fairs

WVU Career Services Center is set to host more than 190 employers at virtual career fairs. The three-part event series, which will take place February 23-25 on Handshake, will provide an optimal environment for students and employers to connect virtually.

The Agriculture and Natural Sciences Virtual Career and Internship Fair will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 23, followed by the STEM Virtual Career and Internship Fair on Wednesday, Feb. 24. The WVU Virtual Career and Internship Fair will then be hosted in partnership with the Chambers College of Business and Economics Career Fair on Thursday, Feb. 25.

All career fairs will be hosted on Handshake, the career management platform available to WVU students and alumni. Students will have the opportunity to meet employers during group and one-on-one sessions, secure interviews, and build their professional network at the virtual career fairs. To participate, students must pre-register for each event on Handshake.

To ensure that students could confidently participate in virtual career fairs, Career Services hosted a series of preparation events throughout the semester, including a session series on Navigating Handshake for Virtual Fairs and multiple Virtual Career Fair 101 presentations. Recordings for these sessions can be found on the Career Services website.

A preview of registered employers for the upcoming career fairs includes Estee Lauder, FBI, LandCare, Monumental Sports, N3, Sinclair Broadcast Group, Southland, USDA, Whiting-Turner, and more. A complete list of participating employers can be found on Handshake.
