WVU Demo Day Celebrates Innovation on Campus

On Thursday, April 25, WVU Idea Hub hosted its second annual Demo Day, showcasing the innovation and ingenuity of the WVU community. Nearly 1,600 students, faculty, and staff from across campus participated. I had the honor of serving as a judge for two of the events, at the invitation of Carrie White, assistant vice president of innovation and entrepreneurship and director of the IDEA Hub, and Sonja Jewell Kelley, Program Director for the WVU IDEA Hub, LaunchLab, and Women's Business Center.

The events were inspiring and engaging, offering something for everyone. I was a little overwhelmed and in awe of the talent and dedication of the WVU community on display. And I met a few people who I am hoping to convince to teach for OLLI in the coming year.

WVU Demo Day is open to the public and I encourage anyone curious to attend next year. I'll be sure to share in our Friday Bulletin. You can read more about yesterday's events at wvu-celebrates-explosion-of-innovation-and-entrepreneurship-at-second-annual-demo-day and ideahub.wvu.edu/demo-day
