WVU Occupational Medicine to host free screenings for first-responders
In September, WVU Occupational Medicine will be hosting an event in Morgantown for all first responders (fire fighters, law enforcement officers, EMS, and Search & Rescue crews). “Protecting Our Local Heroes” will include free healthcare screenings for these individuals.
The screenings will be held at the WVU Health and Education Building, September 11-14, 8 am – 6 pm.
It’s our way of saying “thank you” to such heroes in our communities. This outreach project aligns with WVU Medicine’s mission to improve the health and wellness of West Virginians, as well as our departmental focus of keeping workers healthy. In addition, we have received a WVU Community Engagement grant to assist with providing these free clinical services to first responders around the state.
