Public health to me is the future of improving lives through preventative health measures and making healthcare resources accessible to all.
Why did you choose to study public health at WVU?
I chose to study public health after starting my undergrad in nursing, because I wanted to focus on health prevention and making an impact on individuals' lives before the onset of disease or illness.
Tell us about your field placement experience.
I had the opportunity to do my field placement at the Regional Transition Navigator Services, which is an organization that works with youth substance abuse, mental health and other related health needs.
What do you plan to do after graduation?
I plan to pursue a master's in public health with an emphasis on health promotion.
Have any members of the faculty or staff influenced you in a unique way?
All of my professors in the School of Public Health were so influential, and they truly wanted to see all students succeed.
