Purchasing - Hospitality

Hospitality is defined as “food, non-alcoholic beverages, and related expenses for the reception of guest by a spending agency for a specific event or function related to conducting State business”. The process for accessing SPH funding for hospitality purposes is detailed below:

  • Obtain prior approval from both the fund manager (Chair, Senior Associate Dean, Center Director, etc.) and the Expert Business Office/Strategic Business Advisor (EBO/SBA), regardless of amount or
  • Arrange event ensuring compliance with WVU Hospitality Services Policy (see link below)
  • Complete electronic SPH WVU/WVURC Hospitality/Event Documentation form
