Use of Funds - Foundation
The WVU Foundation (Foundation) is the repository for all donations given benefiting WVU Schools and Programs. The WVU School of Public Health has several funds housed in the Foundation designated for our use based on certain donor preferences. Rules and regulations on uses of funds through the Foundation are similar but not exactly the same as WVU regulations. Therefore, the process listed below will be followed when using WVU SPH department/center specific Foundation funds:
- Request approval for use via email to EBO or Associate Dean, Finance & Administration
- EBO or Associate Dean will reply after review of request, ensuring request is in line with donor restrictions on funds. If approved, the appropriate form and funding number will be returned to requestor for completion.
- Requestor negotiates with vendor to send invoice or direct bill for purchase.
STATE OR RESEARCH CORPORATION PCARDS MAY NOT BE USED. - Requestor completes form and sends to Budget Analyst with copy of email approval.
- Budget Analyst will obtain necessary signatures and forward to Foundation for processing.
- All documentation is housed in the EBO.
